Are you stressed?
Do you lead a busy life?
Do you love being busy and on the go?
Do you feel overwhelmed by everything on your to-do list?

If you answered “heck yes!” to any of the above, then you, my friend, need some “me” time in your life. In fact, we ALL do.

Me time allows you to relax, unwind, and recharge. Think about your cell phone… if you don’t recharge it, and often, it simply won’t work. It will shut off and refuse to turn back on until you plug it in and give it some juice.

Well, our “juice” comes from shutting off and giving ourselves time to just do whatever makes us feel relaxed and happy. It could be literally anything, as long as you love it and it makes you feel good.

Here are some of my fave me time go-to’s:

  • Reading (Stephen King or any chick lit)
  • Watching TV (a TV show, Netflix, a movie… anything)
  • Having a bath (I add Epsom salts and lavender essential oil)
  • Meditating (I find a guided meditation on YouTube and follow along)
  • Getting a massage (good for muscles AND mind!)
  • Going to hot yoga (my fave is the gentle and relaxing stretching class)

Schedule time for yourself as often as you can… every day is ideal. I know that may sound crazy, but it isn’t; even 10-minute intervals can be enough to help you unwind and reset your mind.

So aim for 10 minutes minimum per day, write it into your calendar (because you’re important, too!), and do it.
