If you’re in my private Facebook group, the Go To Health Groupies, then you likely know I’m currently doing a 12-day detox (the Wild Rose Herbal D-Tox). Some of my fellow Groupies are also following suit and completing the cleanse as well.

(If you’re not in the group, um, why? Haha… just kidding, but seriously I’d love to see you there. It’s a place where you can share your struggles and be encouraged by like-minded people who want to be as healthy as they can while still being realistic. It’s a place to get recipes and advice, ask questions, get supported, and support others. Click here to join us… hope to see you inside!)

Ahem.

During a detox, it’s a good idea to avoid certain foods including wheat (and really, any flour), dairy, sugar, and vinegar. Which means… what the heck do I put in my salad dressing if not oil and vinegar??

Don’t fret; I have just the thing for you: my detox-friendly zesty lemon salad dressing. Yes indeedy, lemon juice is an excellent replacement for vinegar in homemade dressing.

If you’re pressed for time, simply sprinkle some olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, and Herbamare or sea salt on your salad. Delicious.

But, if you have a few extra minutes (it really doesn’t take long!), then grab a glass jar and fill it with the ingredients below. If you have questions about this dressing, post ’em below in the comments section.

If you have questions about the cleanse itself, I encourage you to join our group and post your questions there so we can all learn together. Click here to join. Happy detoxing! (Or at least, happy detox-friendly salad dressing making!) … Enjoy. 🙂

Detox-Friendly Zesty Lemon Dressing

1 cup olive oil
1/2 cup + 2 Tbsp lemon juice
2 tsp Herbamare or sea salt
1-2 large cloves garlic, chopped (depending on your love of garlic… mine is pretty substantial) 🙂
1 tsp Herbes de Provence (or other flavourful herb(s))
1/4 tsp black pepper

Put all ingredients into a glass jar and shake it up. Store in the fridge. YUM!
